Naruto and the Kyuubi Ch. 1

Sakura outstretched her arms as the sun shined upon her face, creating a beautiful shade of orange. She turns to see a photo of her younger self, posing with Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi. She sighs as she continues to stare at the photo. Sasuke died two years ago during the Orochimaru power period, and the last time Sakura saw Naruto was a couple months ago.

She got dressed into an outfit that consisted of a tight red t-shirt with tight blue jeans and the usual ninja belt. This casual outfit was worn due to the fact that she had no missions that day. Sakura strolled towards Tsunade's office in order to ask for more training, mainly because she had not been trained since her advancement to the Jounin level.

As Sakura was about to enter, the door flew open and caused Sakura to cry out in suprise. She was forced to back up as a random person ran out the door with a large stack of papers. The papers looked like they would keep a person busy for weeks! When Sakura peeked into the room, she saw that the whole office was in chaos. Numerous people ran to the Godaime to recieve advice for various things. Sakura had to leap across everyone in order to ask Tsunade what was wrong.

Tsunade turned to Sakura and replied, "I don't know," with a grim face.

Sakura could not help but become surprised  by her response. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"Well, so much stuff is happening" she replied with a sigh. "We've been asked to help with natural disasters that have occured in the villages of Rain, Mist, and Grass, and we're experiencing so many financial issues. There are also rumors about the village of sound planning another attack... There are so many things happening!" Tsunade explained.

"So what are you going to do?" Sakura asked. She could tell that Tsunade was worried.

Tsunade was silent for a few moments before asking, "Sakura? Would you like to accompany the other medical nin on their current mission? They are going to the villages of Rain, Mist, and Grass to aid the victims of the natural disasters there,".

"I would love to! I'll try not to get in their way!" Sakura yelled. Her voice was brimming with excitement.

"Sakura, I know you're excited, but remember. You'll probably be gone for a month, maybe even two. Get prepared, and meet the medical nins at the front gate of Konoha tomorrow at four A.M." Tsunade said.

"Okay!" Sakura enthusiastically yelled. She bowed and dashed out of the office. Before Tsunade could say another word, Sakura ran out the door, which slamed behind her.

Tsunade began to grimly look at the paper she was holding. She was just about to discuss the contents of this paper with Sakura before she abruptly left. The paper said 'Naruto, the carrier of the Kyuubi, has been found on the 17th of May, in the deserts of the Sand village. He was found unconsious, barely staying alive. His condition is slowly worsening, and medical nins are barely keeping him alive. We would like to request that the great Godaime help. This is a top priority.'

"Well, it can't be too bad, can it?" Tsunade said to herself, a sweatdrop falling from her face. 'All these disasters in other villages... And now Naruto being found unconsious after months of being lost? The rumor about the Sound village is also worrisome. All this could be connected...' Tsunade mumbled to herself. She walked out of her crowded office, walking towards the hospital.
